Now here’s picture I won’t forget… I took the photo for this on the morning of what should have been my first market at Peregian Beach on the Sunshine Coast. I had a car full of prints and frames and all the market set-up ready to go. Unfortunately, the night before, it started to rain, and rain, and RAIN! It threw it down all night and flooded the market site, so all the hard work leading up to that day was for nothing. However, there was a wonderful silver lining to those heavy grey clouds; the beautiful light and wild ocean at the beach that morning. Once the heaviest of the rain had passed, my dear friend and fellow creative Kate (Hawka Creative) and I spent a very happy hour or so on that windswept beach, snapping picture after picture. I love how nature can be petulant and nurturing all at once. There’ll be more to come from that day, for sure.
